Labels like this went on packages rather than passengers' suitcases. Panair started in 1929 as NYRBA do Brasil and took the Panair name in 1930 after Pan American bought NYRBA; it was headquartered at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil's military government suspended its operating certificate in February 1965.
