Singapore's National Heritage Board holds a Qantas Singapore tiger poster from a series of heroic animal portraits the airline commissioned to promote overseas destinations to Australian travelers, each place given its own animal, from a squirrel for America to the tiger for Singapore. The artist of the poster is not recorded. Singapore had been a stop on the Qantas route to Britain since the flying boat era, when the Empire service linked Sydney, Singapore and London.
