A red kangaroo leaps over a globe on this round label, ringed by Kangaroo Service and stopping places such as Sydney, Darwin, Singapore, Calcutta, Karachi and Bahrain, with Q.E.A. and B.O.A.C. along the bottom. Qantas Empire Airways and BOAC shared the route from Australia to Britain; from 1945 their joint London service changed hands at Karachi. Through flights from Sydney to London on the Kangaroo Route began in December 1947 with Lockheed Constellations.
