Dealer descriptions of the design also note two paddlers in a small boat heading toward wooded hills drawn in swirling lines, with jagged mountains beyond, the city's name in flowing script above and the airline's name below. The artist is not recorded. Royal Air Maroc was established in 1957, the year after Morocco regained its independence, as the country's national airline, and posters like this one promoted a network reaching well beyond North Africa and Europe.
