A cheerful cartoon jetliner wearing a pilot's cap smiles out from this round blue sticker, with "captain blue sky" lettered around the rim and the Sabena name and S emblem on its fuselage. Sabena, the Belgian national airline, began operations on 23 May 1923 and flew for nearly eight decades from Brussels before going into liquidation in November 2001. Its friendly cartoon style stands apart from the more formal labels the airline put on bags and timetables over the years.
