A giraffe's long neck rises right alongside the tall tail fin of an SAS airliner on a black ground, under the tongue-in-cheek line "No giraffes, please", a witty play on the two matching silhouettes. The poster is dated to around 1950 in this collection, and its artist is not recorded. Scandinavian Airlines System had been formed in 1946 from the national airlines of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, and its advertising of the period often favored a light, humorous touch to introduce the young airline to travelers.
