In flowing red script on white, this small sticker announces that SAS was awarded for Best Passenger Service in 1986 by Air Transport World, signed off with the striped SAS logo. In the 1980s chief executive Jan Carlzon, who led SAS from 1981 to 1993, set out to make it the airline of the business traveller and pushed hard on service quality. SAS itself was founded in 1946 by the national airlines of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
