A classic yellow smiley face beams from the centre of this little sticker, ringed by the words "Have A Nice Day" and "Southern Airways," with a tiny jet tucked above the smile. It is a cheerful piece of airline promotion from a carrier that liked a friendly touch: Southern also used the line "Nobody's Second Class on Southern" in its television commercials. Founded in 1944 and based in Atlanta, Southern Airways merged with North Central Airlines on 1 July 1979 to form Republic Airlines.
