David Klein's 1950s "Spain via TWA" poster takes the viewer into the bullring: a matador in his gold-embroidered suit of lights stands in close-up beside his black montera hat, with another bullfighter in the arena behind and a Lockheed Constellation flying overhead. The brush-script "Spain" glows in yellow against a hot orange-red sky. Klein (1918–2005) created TWA's best-known destination posters, and the propliner places this one before the airline's jets.
