A pair of TAP Air Portugal luggage labels on a single sheet, each with ruled lines for name, address and phone, framed in red and finished with the airline's red-and-green corner stripes and logo. Airlines gave out labels like these so passengers could identify their bags while carrying the airline's colors along. TAP was founded in Lisbon on 14 March 1945 as Transportes Aereos Portugueses, and adopted the name TAP Air Portugal in 1979. Lisbon Airport remains its hub and headquarters.
