A white airliner crosses a field of blue in this 1955 poster for TAROM, then one of the newest names in European aviation. The airline grew out of TARS, a Romanian-Soviet company that began domestic flights from Bucharest's Băneasa Airport in 1946. After Romania bought out the Soviet share, the carrier took the name TAROM, short for Transporturile Aeriene Române, on 18 September 1954. Its fleet in those early years was built on Soviet types such as the Lisunov Li-2 and the Ilyushin Il-14, and this poster dates from the airline's first full year under its new name.
The Gildan 2000, made with 100% U.S. cotton and the latest breakthrough in soft cotton technology, the Gildan Ultra Cotton family has been remastered for improved printability, quality, and comfort you can see and feel.
