This pale label reads Fly Viscount in bold red, with the proud line introduced to North America by Trans-Canada Air Lines and a tiny drawing of the airliner along the bottom. TCA, formed in 1937, holds the distinction of operating the first Vickers Viscounts in North America, putting the British turboprop into service in 1955, a few months before any U.S. airline. The Viscount is widely called the world's first successful turboprop airliner. Trans-Canada Air Lines became Air Canada on 1 January 1965. Airlines gave out stickers like this for passengers to put on their luggage.
