Red and blue panels carry the Trans Caribbean Airways name, a winged emblem and a radar scope sweeping across concentric rings, beside the boast The Plane That Flies With Radar Eyes. Along the bottom runs the line Bridging the mainland and Puerto Rico. Trans Caribbean was organized in 1945 and controlled throughout its life by businessman O. Roy Chalk. It won authority to fly New York to San Juan in 1957 and began that service from Idlewild in March 1958. American Airlines acquired the airline, which ceased operating on 2 March 1971. Airlines gave out stickers like this for passengers' luggage.
