Big italic TTA initials in royal blue sit inside a decorative blue ring on this round sticker, with Trans-Texas Airways in small script beneath. Airlines handed out stickers like this for passengers to put on their luggage. Trans-Texas began as Aviation Enterprises, a Houston fixed-base operator founded in 1940 by R. Earl McKaughan, and took the TTA name in June 1947. Its first two DC-3s started serving eight Texas cities on 11 October 1947, and in 1969 the airline became Texas International.
