The same jaunty design as its pink sister, this Trans-Texas Airways roundel is printed in sunny yellow against deep navy, with a long-necked bird sailing over the airline's name and Route of the Starliners lettered around the rim. Starliners was the name Trans-Texas gave its Douglas DC-3s from 1949, and the slogan followed the airline across the Lone Star State. Headquartered near Houston's Hobby Airport, Trans-Texas flew on until it took a new name in 1969, and in 1982 it merged into Continental Airlines. A cheerful bit of mid-century Texas aviation.
