Brazilian and American flags sit in the corners of this sticker as a white widebody jet with Transbrasil's famous rainbow tail flies between the city names Rio, Sao Paulo, Miami and Orlando. The airline was founded on 5 January 1955 as Sadia, a sister company of the Brazilian food maker, and was renamed Transbrasil in 1972. Its colorful rainbow tails became its trademark. International flights began as charters in 1983 and became scheduled from 1989, including Miami and Orlando. Transbrasil was grounded in December 2001 when its fuel credit ran out.
