A dramatic close-up fills this sticker: the white nose and cabin windows of a Transwede jet against deep blue sky, with the airline's name in black along the fuselage and sweeping stripes of black, blue and yellow trailing behind. Transwede was founded in 1985 in Vaxjo, Sweden, by Thomas Johansson and moved its main base to Stockholm Arlanda in 1986. It began with Sud Aviation Caravelles, added MD-80s for charter flying and later ran scheduled routes. In 1996 the charter arm was sold and became Blue Scandinavia, while the scheduled side became Braathens Sverige in 1997.
