From the sea rather than the sky, this luggage sticker belongs to Turkish Maritime Lines. A white circle at the center holds a pair of red crossed anchors topped by the crescent and star of the Turkish flag, ringed by a golden yellow band lettered Turkish Maritime Lines and, at the bottom, Denizyollari, the Turkish word for sea lines. Shipping lines, like airlines, gave passengers labels like this to mark their trunks and suitcases, and the bold anchor emblem made sure a bag could be spotted on any quayside.
