This 1950s TWA poster sets the goddess Athena, armed with spear and shield, on top of a tall Ionic column against a soft blue sky, with a Lockheed Constellation flying past. Dealers identify the statue as one of the pair in front of the Academy of Athens. Pastel clouds, red "TWA" lettering and the "Trans World Airlines" line at the base mark it as a propeller-era design. The artist's signature has not been reliably identified.
