A triple-tailed Lockheed Constellation flies over giant red TWA letters on this blue-and-white oval sticker, with Trans World Airline running along the edge. The Constellation was closely tied to TWA: in April 1944 Howard Hughes and Jack Frye flew one from Burbank to Washington, and TWA opened its New York to Paris route in February 1946. Labels like this were given out to passengers for their suitcases. The airline officially became Trans World Airlines on 17 May 1950.
