A TWA Super-G Constellation sails across the steel-blue top of this sticker, above a big red 'Fly TWA' and the words 'Super-G Constellation.' The Super G, Lockheed's L-1049G, entered TWA service in spring 1955. TWA had already made history with the earlier L-1049 Super Constellation, flying the first scheduled nonstop U.S. transcontinental service on 19 October 1953, eastbound with favourable winds. The airline had officially become Trans World Airlines in 1950, the name printed along the bottom.
