United's "Coastliner" is the first Airbus A321neo in the airline's history to wear a livery of its own, and N94750 is the aircraft that started it. Rolled out of Airbus Hamburg as MSN 13054, it leads a 40-strong subfleet United codes internally as the A321LF, built for the toughest premium market in the country: coast to coast between Newark and Los Angeles and San Francisco, replacing the Boeing 757-200s that ran those routes for decades.
What makes it different from every other A321neo in the fleet is inside and under the wing. Where United's standard A321neo seats 200 in two classes, the Coastliner carries just 161 across three: 20 Polaris lie-flat suites, 12 Premium Plus, and 129 in economy. It is the first United narrowbody ever to offer Polaris. And instead of the Pratt & Whitney PW1133G engines on the rest of the A321neo fleet, the A321LF flies behind CFM LEAP-1A30s, giving the type a distinct sound and a distinct sub-designation: A321-252NX.
The coastal-themed scheme is the giveaway on the ramp, and GeminiJets has reproduced it in 1:400 with tampo-printed markings, all-metal diecast construction, and detailed landing gear with rubber tires. Roughly 4.3 inches long. Limited edition, released once and never reissued.
