Bright orange and impossible to miss, this small card reads OCCUPIED above a seat symbol struck through with a red diagonal, with the United Airlines name and tulip emblem along the bottom. The tulip logo places it in the later decades of United, an airline whose roots reach back to a Varney Air Lines airmail flight in April 1926.
