A silver-rimmed oval frames a side view of a US Airways Airbus A320 in dark blue, with a red tail carrying the stars-and-stripes flag, the US Airways name above and A320 lettered below. USAir became US Airways in 1997, just after ordering up to 400 aircraft from the A320 family in November 1996, and the Airbus types went on to make up most of its fleet. The best-known US Airways A320 is the one Flight 1549 safely ditched in the Hudson River in 2009. US Airways merged with American Airlines between 2013 and 2015.
