A white twin-engine flying boat skims across a sky-blue disc, ringed by VIRGIN ISLANDS SEAPLANE SHUTTLE in bold navy letters. The airline began service on 15 March 1982 from Christiansted, St. Croix, linking the downtown seaplane ramps of St. Croix and St. Thomas with Grumman Mallard amphibians. It carried on the harbor-to-harbor tradition until 1989, when Hurricane Hugo and severe financial problems brought operations to an end. Stickers like this were handed out for travelers to put on their bags.
