A green carved totem pole rises at the left of this label while an F-27 turboprop cruises past, a nod to the Pacific Northwest the airline served. The slogan FIRST TO FLY THE FAIRCHILD F-27 recalls September 1958, when West Coast Airlines became the first carrier to put the type into service and the first U.S. local service airline to fly turbine airliners. Passengers received stickers like this to put on their luggage, carrying the Seattle airline's boast around the region.
