In this version of the F-27 label, the turboprop flies head-on over an olive sky and a small farm scene of trees and buildings, above the slogan FIRST TO FLY THE FAIRCHILD F-27 and the West Coast Airlines name. The Seattle-based local service airline introduced the Fairchild F-27 in September 1958, the first airline to put the type into service. Founded in 1941, West Coast absorbed Empire Air Lines in 1952 and became part of Air West in 1968.
