Cut in the shape of a teal arrowhead, this label shows a figure in a feathered headdress beside an arrow, above WESTERN AIR LINES in white capitals and a small emblem. The company was incorporated in 1925 as Western Air Express and made its first flight on April 17, 1926, carrying mail from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City with a Douglas M-2. It took the Western Air Lines name in 1941. Passengers were handed stickers like this to put on their luggage.
